A Meal of Kindness: Bringing Joy to Bawlana Tamil Vidyalam

At Kiwi Outsourcing, our values go far beyond business. We believe in giving back to the
communities that need it most, and recently, we had the privilege of doing just that through a
humble but meaningful CSR initiative. Our team visited Bawlana Tamil Vidyalam, a small
rural school nestled deep in the hills, home to 36 spirited students from Grades 1 to 5.

The journey there was not an easy one; narrow, broken roads, muddy potholes, and tricky curves made the trip challenging. But the moment we arrived, the hardship melted away. We were greeted by fresh mountain air, lush pine trees, hidden waterfalls, and a breathtaking 360- degree view of nature’s best. The serenity was unforgettable, but what truly took our breath away were the smiles of the children.
These children come from hard-working families who do their best to make ends meet each day. Many of the parents work in physically demanding jobs, supporting not just their children, but often entire extended families. Despite the challenges they face, the children radiate positivity, resilience, and a genuine curiosity about the world around them.
For many of them, opportunities for special experiences are rare. So, when planning our visit, our goal was simply to create a moment of joy they could remember. We decided to bring them a special meal, something different from what they’re used to, something they could delight in. As they tasted the food, their excitement was unmistakable. Giggles, chatter, and wide-eyed wonder filled the air. It was a powerful reminder that joy often comes in the simplest of forms a shared meal, a new experience, and a sense of being seen and celebrated.
While we’re committed to offering more nutritious and sustainable support in the long term, this visit was about more than food. It was about presence, kindness, and the connections that bring us all closer. The smiles we saw and the memories we made reaffirmed our belief in the power of small gestures to spark lasting impact.
This is only the beginning. We are committed to continuing our CSR projects, reaching out to more underprivileged schools, families, and communities, because we believe that every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to make a lasting difference.
